Basic Navigation
First, let us explain the basic navigational elements on SciLife.
Header
Let’s start with Head Section. There you see:
Start-Button, which takes you to your News Page, where you can read your messages, confirm invitations you have received and edit your profile. The Resources, Groups- and People-Buttons help you to browse through the platform.
Center Content Field
The center of your browser window is used to display profiles of resources, groups and users. The content is usually arranged with a tab system. Simply click on a tab to reveal its contents.
Boxes on Right Side
Using the right side quick view boxes, you can easily access your resources, contacts, bookmarks, groups and news. Click on the headers to reveal their content.
All right, but what can I do now?
Start exploring SciLife by browsing for users, groups and resources that are already on our platform. After your quick stroll it is time to become somewhat more active! Use the side menus to complete your personal profile and to place your resources and groups on SciLife. Our wizards will help you through the data input process.
Sounds good, but is my data safe?
Yes! Your data is safe. You can control read access to your personal profile, to you groups and your resources. Have look into our legal statement for more details.
