During both diploma thesis and PhD, I studied the interaction of cancer cells and defined microenvirnoments. First, breast ceancer cells in the bone marrow, within the context of micrometastases. Later, during my PhD I focused of leukemic cells and bone marrow stromal cells. Specifically, how defined mutations affect this interaction. In parallel, I have always worked on mesenchymal stem cells (MSC). Currently, in relationship to microRNA biology. I will also work on MSC during my postdoc in Jan Nolta's lab in UCDavis to start by the end of this year.
